Day 16 - Who was the first band you ever saw live?
The first band I ever saw live was Motion City Soundtrack, but technically I saw Plain White T’s first since they opened for them. Mind you, this is back when I was in 8th grade meaning this was Plain White T’s pre-“Hey There Delilah” hype. That concert was actually where I fell in love with that song. And they were great live, as was Motion City Soundtrack. All in all,...

My neighbors seem to love blasting music late at...
And it’s probably the worst ‘music’ I’ve ever heard, on top of that. Umm, HELLO some of us value our sleep and have to get up earlier in the morning.
I mean, do not cock-block me and sleep, because that is crossing the line. Just..
Ugh, I can’t wait to be out of the dorms next year.

Someday - Sugar Ray (ohhh, Sugar Ray. :) such a classic throwback song)
Semi-Charmed Life - Third Eye Blind (this song always makes me smile and think of summer)
Love You Till the End - The Pogues (ugh, one of the main reasons why I love the P.S. I Love You soundtrack so much. this song is absolutely perfect. <3)
I Wanna Hold Your Hand - The Beatles (can’t beat a good Beatles song)

The only upside to being sick right now
..is that my voice sounds Sophia Bush-raspy at the current moment (I’ve always sort of envied her voice). But other than this uplifting detail, I would like for all other symptoms of my sickness to please go away. :)

Day 9 - What year were you in 6th grade? What are...
Hmm, well I was in 6th grade from 2003-2004. So I guess I’ll do the top 5 songs from both years then, to be fair. :)
2003
Crazy in Love - Beyonce (feat. Jay-Z)
Hey Ya! - Outkast
Here Without You - 3 Doors Down
Baby Boy - Beyonce (feat. Sean Paul)
Miss Independent - Kelly Clarkson
I’m so glad Kelly Clarkson made this list. Although, I am disappointed that Since U Been Gone...

Sometimes, my mom has the greatest text...
Me: Yeah, well this stupid Target lady almost didn't let me buy my cold pills because she didn't know whether the legal age was 18 or 21. So annoying.
Mom: That is a dumb ass!!

Day 8 - Look up the top 5 songs from the year that...
1992
Boyz II Men - End Of The Road
Sir Mix A-Lot - Baby Got Back
Kris Kross - Jump
Vanessa Williams - Save the Best for Last
TLC - Baby-Baby-Baby
Well, this is an interesting assortment, to say the least. However, I do think that “Baby Got Back” and “Baby-Baby-Baby” are obscurely appropriate songs for the year of my birth, hahaha.

Day 7 - Your favorite TV show theme song.
Where You Lead - Carole King (Gilmore Girls)
There’s just no question. This theme song is like the theme to my life because whenever I hear it, all I think is ‘home’.
However, other close contenders to this song are: That 70’s Show, Boy Meets World (circa seasons 5 & 6), and The Office (aka most comforting instrumental theme ever).

I have to leave for my last class of the day in 20...
and I can’t say that I’m even a little excited about it. I mean, aren’t I supposed to be excited to be going to classes since they’re teaching me about my future? This is why I really think I need to change majors because I just don’t have any passion for school anymore. Hopefully I’ll be able to go meet with that adviser tomorrow for the TFM major. Crossing my...

Day 6 - You hear a song, and someone pops into...
Well, at the moment I’m drawing blanks on songs to randomly think of, so I’m just gonna go with hitting shuffle on iTunes. :)
A Walk Through Hell - Say Anything
My best friend, Andrea, pops in my head because in 8th grade we were obsessed with this song. It also sparked my interest in Say Anything. And every time this song comes up on my ipod when we’re driving somewhere, we...

Day 5 - What song(s) have the most meaning to you...
Drops of Jupiter - Train (basically because this song is my childhood)
Blackbird - The Beatles (because this song comforts me in almost any situation)
Tiny Dancer - Elton John (because it reminds me of simpler times, driving in the car with my dad to dance classes. and it’s just a plus that it happens to be in my favorite scene of Almost Famous)
Feels Like Home - Chantal Kreviazuk (this...

How is it I'm already homesick?
And I don’t leave to go back to school for another five hours. Bleh, I guess these five weeks at home made me realize how much I really missed it. More than I thought I did. And the last thing I feel like doing right now is packing my car up to go back to the hell hole that is my school. Sure, I’m excited to see people, but I’m still not ready to go back. Blah, let’s just...

Dad:
Tiny Dancer - Elton John (always. I like to think of this as my dad and I’s song <3)
My Girl - The Temptations (this, and virtually any Motown song I know)
Only the Good Die Young - Billy Joel :)
Band on the Run - Paul McCartney & Wings (thank you, dad. one of my favorite songs now)
Mom:
Where You Lead - Carole King (no matter what we’re doing, if my mom and I are in...

Golden Globes
(spoilers ahead, in case you haven’t seen the awards yet)
Okay.. what. was. that. While I thought that The Social Network was a good movie, and worthy of maybe one award, I do not think that it was better than The Fighter and definitely not Black Swan. Or Inception. By the way, where the hell were the awards for Inception/Chris Nolan?! Such robbery.
Personally, the only awards that I felt...

Day 2 - Your 5 favorite bands of all time.
1) Coldplay
2) Blink-182
3) Band of Horses
4) Vampire Weekend
5) Paramore
Ahhh, this was so hard to narrow it down to just five. Therefore, this list is only about half-accurate because there are many more bands that I love dearly. <3
